The speculators seenied to have little difficulty In picking the winners, going astray only twice and then not seriously. Especially heavy bets were made on Shenandoah hnd Katie Powers; It was a good da for Phil Cliinn as he also won the second race with King s Ofm. Both his horses won off by themselves. Folks from City Park won a bet on Polly Prim, a new arrival from the American Turf Association track, which took the feature race, a condition affair at six furlongs. She was In front all tho way. Lady Henrietta, the 3 to 4 favorite, ran a dull race and was nosed out of third place by J. C. Clem. C. R. Ellison will leave tomorrow morning for Memphis, where he will spend a day looking over his horses at Montgomery Park. He will then go to Hot Springs and stay there until the Derby Is inn here.
