Miss Leeds ran a good race, but was excessively used In the early stages and taken into the deepest going in the last sixteenth. Odd Ella went wide all the way, but finished fast and, better handled, would have won. Kuro-patkln was In the worst going throughout. Young Sater was cut oft soon after the start and closed a gap, but ran a dull race. McJetta had scant chance with a poor rider. Miss Martha, much the best, was away in a tangle and a weak ride at the end cost her the race. AAilcox went well and, better ridden, would have been a dangerous contender, Armstrong nearly falling off In the last seventy yards. Dr. Root ran a fairly good race- and Is showing steady improvement. Miss Kingcette was pinched off soon after the start and ran a dull race. Rosalia showed speed, but quit badly in the last furlong.
