Glendon, off well, was kept In behind the leaders until reaching the head of tlie stretch, when he moved np and, wearing Doc Wallace down in the last sixteenth, won going away. Doc Walace showed suddenly Improved form and ran a good race, had Wistful driving before the stretch was reached and appeared all over the winner, but tired at the end. Mathls, a slow beginner, finished with Ills usual rush, but could not get up. Wistful tired after making the early running. Voila showed slight speed. The last two were pulled up. Attention was much the best in tlie going and raced Malta into defeat, but was doing his best at the end to stall off Chandler. The latter came with a belated rush and would have won In a few more strides.. Malta was under pressure from the start, gained a momentary lead in the stretch, but tired. Reside finished with a rush and was wearing the leaders down at the end. Jerry Sharp ran well for an eighth, but evidently did not like the going. Miss Cesarion ran a bad race. Dolinda, favored by the track conditions, raced to tlie front and, spreadeagling his opponents, was never fully extended and was eased up at the end. Pentagon, best of the others, got to within a half length of the leader when straightened out, but tired. Stoessel, off badly, closed a big gap, but was never dangerous. Fra Fillipo finished gamely. Charlie Eastman took the lead at once and easily kept it, allowed Hans Wagner to get to his head on the far turn and then drew away at his leisure. Bon Mot, outrun early, finished fast, caught Hans Wagner tiring in the last sixteenth and barely beat him out. Hans Wagner was warm going to tlie post and ran a surprisingly good race. Sunny Brook, much the best, was in tight quarters to the head of the stretch, where he went around on the outside and finished fast, but bore in in the final sixteenth and humped Fair Calypso. Foley claimed a foul, but it was not allowed. Fair Calypso revelled in tlie going and raced Zellnda to a standstill, then assumed the lead in the stretch, but tired under pressure. Fannette finished gamely after being badly outrun early. Too much use was made of Zelinda and she tired after running well to the stretch. Miss Eberlee evidently did not like the going. Gearholra assumed commaud at the start and was never in trouble, was interfered with somewhat by Lulu Young, which raced through the field after losing her rider, and came near falling at the last jump, but was. eased up at the end. Dawson was intich the best of the others, but was never dangerous. Trenct the Mere secured third, money In the last sixteenth. Lulu Young was going easily when her rider took a header.
