Andrew Mack moved up fast on the far turn, but tired in the stretch under punishment. Judex ran well and outstayed Orfeo when It came to the final drive. Duke of Keridal ran a good race and was next to the inside rail in the heavv going for the entire trip. Embarrassment ran poorly in the early stages and trailed for the first half, then closed np on the turn into the homestretch, but swerved to the outside fence under punishment In the last sixteenth. Platoon ran well, but was tiring at the end and had to stand a hard drive to outlast Tickle. The latter slipped through on the inside when entering the homestretch and finished fast. Rusk was handicapped by the going. Plaud showed the most speed for the first three furlongs, but Hildebrand was unable to keep him straight in the last sixteenth and he swerved down to the outside in the deep going. This beat him.
