GO BETWEEN BEST, SAYS SHIELDS. John Shields, the trainer of Go Between, is quoted as having said of the race for the Suburban: "Go Between won, in my opinion, because he was the best horse in the race. He always had the foot of Dandelion, and outgamed him when It came to the final struggle. I think every turfman who saw the contest will admit that it was an I exceptionally true run race, in which there was , little or no interference."
