NEW YORK ROOMS GET BAD SERVICE. New York, June 22. The published reports that the New York poolrooms had resumed business on the old basis with the Inauguration of the present Sheepshead Bay meeting, were without foundation. As a matter of fact, those few attempting to post prices and results were badly mixed up. Yesterday a number of them paid off on Dandelion, as the winner of the Suburban. All made book with the absentee, Oliver Cromwell, in, and without the added starters, Agile and Kuroki. In the first race books were made on the basis of five starters and there were only two Brookdale Nymph and Tradition with a resultant declaring off of bets by the layers. Every telephone in the neighborhood of the racetrack is under close surveillance and any new application for such service is thoroughly investigated.
