Spherical came with a-rush in the stretch, and won second place In the last stride. Charlie Tlilbert ran an excellent race under his high weight. Grace Kimball got off badly, but showed scant speed and can do better. Timothy Wen showed speed for three-eighths of a mile onlvl Aoting and Jerry Sharp ran well to the stretch. Peter Sterling is a good colt In line form, showed great speed and, racing Goldmate into exhaustion in the first half, took the lead and outstayed AAexford through the stretch. The latter was hustled all the way and ran a good race, hut could never get to the winner. Arthur Cummer ran to his best form and easily held the others behind him safe. Reservation finished fast. The latter was well meant today, ran a good race and finished gamely. Chief Deputy showed the most early speed, but tired in the final drive. Oak Leaf closed a big gap froin a slow-beginning. Clara Dee tired badly in the last quarter. Ralph Reese finished well. Jim Beattie was given an easy ride. Overweights Chief Deputy, 3 pounds; Blue Miracle. 2.
