Alylh was in close quarters until making the turn into the homestretch, where lie came through on the inside, then appeared the winner at the sixteenth post, where lie had a necks advantage, but tired in the final drive. Massada finished fast and outstaved Society Bud when it came to the final drive. The latter was used up In keeping pace with the winner and tired in the last quarter.
