OPEN RING WORKS WONDERS AT SEATTLE. "This season, with from ten to. fifteen books in the ring all the time, and all syndicate business cut out, the racing has surpassed all expectations," says the Seattle Post-Intelligencer of the meeting at The Meadows. "The crowds are large and the fact that a bookmaker is forced to the wall is not considered -an uncommon thing."
