Nigger Mike, from a good start, was always In forward contention and had clear sailing, drew out u the stretch with a clear lead, but was driving hard to get home finally. Lad of Langden, striding at the start, was in forward and game contention throughout and put up a game finish. Smiling Tom, away poorly and a very slow beglpner, closed a big gap and finished with a, belated rush. Sandy Creei:er ran prominently all the way and Is Improving. Llnnepee, away poorly, steadily improved his position and finished close up. Lord Lovat closed a gap In tbei last half. Lady Pride showed superior speed for five furlongs. Moyea had not much chance, at the start. Plausible showed a great turn of speed. Watcrbury was hampered and pulling up throughout. Corrected weights Lady Pride, 107; Knockirky, 107. KassII luckily placed from the start, forged into the lead at the end of the first mile and, jumping superbly, increased bis advantage as the race progressed, finally winning pulled up. Grandpa was- badly crossed by the winner at the Liverpool in the last circuit of the course and could never get up afterwards, despite a game effort, but ran a .grand race. War Paint, one of the trailers, easily earned third place. Python went well for half the journey. Onteora, The Doctor and May Woodhouse all fell at the first jump. Scratched 03538Tom Cogan. 153. The latter outbroke and outpaced his opponents decisively and had the race won, when his rider looked around and eased blm up in the final sixteenth. Hyperion was In forward and game pursuit throughout and finished resolutely, but tiring. Champlaln showed good speed, for seven furlongs and Is about doe. Benevolent, held at the post, got away poorly, was shut off and pocketed repeatedly and had no chance. Mary Morris suffered from crowding at the start and was carried wide on the turns. Phalanx developed superior early speed and ran as If short. Electioneer, long striding and a slow begluner, lost ground on the sharp turns, but came very fast in the stretch, ran like a coming crackerjack and is sluggishly Inclined, but very game. Don Enrique, on the outside and trailing in the early running, closed up very fast in the stretch and ran a grand race. Angler, hard held, indulged the early pacemaker with the lead to the half, where he ran to the front and, stalling off Outcomes stretch challenge with great ease, came away and won easing up Outcome moved up like a flash on the far turn, but was unable to seriously menace the winner In the stretch, yet ran a grand race. Corrigan, choked back in the first part of the race in an effort to place him, ran forwardly to the last turn, where he went wide and finished fast, but boring out. Tartan loomed up inomeutarily on the far turn, where he shot his bolt. Cederstrome made the early running on sufferance, but retired quickly when, the real racing began. Cressina bumped her way through close quarters in the early running and, after strenuous and persistent pursuit of the flying leader, got up and headed her right at the end. Pythla raced into the lead at the start and made the running under a pull for five furlongs and, although tiring slightly, was rfot really extended when Cressina passed her, was best, but given a very bad ride. Mollie Donohue maintained a forward position from the start and finished with a rush In an extra good effort. Bribery, away nadly, closed a big gap, running a surprisingly good race at the weights. Ballotta steadily improved her position from an Indifferent start, but lacked early speed after her recent longer races. Cassandra failed to stay. Ava was never dangerous.
