RAMUS WINS SEATTLE DERBY. The Seattle Derby was decided last Saturday and was won by T. H. Stevens and Sons Ramus, his stable companion, Huston, finishing second with Kumlsk third. Ramus carried 117 pounds and ran the mile and a quarter in 2:06. The value of the race to the winner was ,170. Ramus was bred at Walnut Hill, the Stevens farm in Kentucky. He is by Governor Foraker, out of Emily S. The Seattle track was fast Saturday and two new records for the course were made. The Huguenot ran a mile In 1:39 and Ruby won at three-quarters in 1:12.
