Won easily; second the same. Prolific raced Lady Bateman into subjection and drew away at the head of the stretch, but had to do his best at the end to stall off the rush of Charlie Ward. The latter closed a big gap and finished fast and gaining. Lady Bateman showed the most early speed and ran in greatly improved form. Vacharis, Mirabel and Hattle Dodson finished close up and going fast. Alegra showed speed, but tired. Excuse Me got off badly, closed a gap and tired. Won driving; second and third the same. Garrett Wilson followed Alsono closely to the stretch and outstayed him at the end of a long and bitterly contested drive. Alsouo showed the most early speed, finished resolutely and ran to his best form. Ralndance came fast through the stretch and ran an excellent race. Many Thanks was speedy and finished close up. Lulu Young fenced well and, showing much speed, easily held Glpsano safe. The latter put up a good performance under his big weight. Dawson went well. Slgmund quit and can do better. My Bessie was always prominent and finished fast and "gamely. Bathmaria was on the inside and much hampered all the way, lost ground on the last turn, but came fast through the stretch. Hazel Patch began slowly and finished with a rush. Ravlana began slowly, but made up a lot of ground in the stretch and outgamed Annie Berry at the finish. The latter ran In improved form and finished well. The Scold showed early speed, but tired. Dollnda showed the most early speed and raced Lemon Girl into exhaustion, but tired at the end." Monte ran a fairly good race and finished gamely, but was not good enough today. Rhlnock ran well and had no mishaps. Nameoki never was a contender. ILemon Girl ran well to the stretch, then quit badly and did not run to her true form.
