CONDON DENIES WILD RUMORS. Saratoga, N. Y.. August 6. John Condon was hopping mad when he was told that a story had been sent out of New Orleans to the effect that the meetings of both clubs in that city the coming winter would be held at the City Park track and that the Crescent City Jockey Club would not spend any money on the Fair Grounds plant for the reason that the lease would expire shortly. "The Crescent City Jockey Club will hold Its meeting at the old track, as usual." said Mr. Condon. "We may not spend a great deal of money in Improvements there this coming winter, but next year we intend to build extensively. The Crescent City Jockey Clubs lease on the plant has yet twenty years to run."
