ONTARIO JOCKEY CLUB STAKE OFFERINGS. Elsewhere in tills issue of Daily Racing Form will lie found the conditions of a series of attractive stakes offered bv the Ontario Jockey Club. All will close for entries at midnight of Saturday, August 18, and all are to be run at the clubs autumn meeting, which Is to begin Saturday. Septcinlier 15, and terminate Saturday, September 22. Two ot the events are for two-year-olds, the remainder for three-year-olds and over. The Toronto meetings are about as popular with American owners and turfmen In general as with tiie Canadians and It Is to be expected that American owners will view these stakes with interest and patronize them liberally. The list Is as follows: FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS. Michaelmas Handicap, ,000 added; 3-1 mile. Grey Stakes, ,000 added; 1 mile. FOR THREE-YEAR-OLDS AND .OVER. Ontario Jockey Club Cup Handicap, ,000 added; 2 1-1 miles. Durham Cup, ,500 added; 1 3-4 miles. Toronto Autmnu Cup, ,000 added; 1 1-1 miles. Pheasant Plato, Selling, ,000 added; 1 1-S .tulles. The .Durham Cup Is for Canadian-bred horses exclusively. The other races are for all comers. The winner of the Ontario Jockey Club Cup will receive a valuable piece of plate In addition to the stakes. Secretary Frazer also notifies horsemen that all purses will be of the value of 00 or more, entrance money to the winner.
