DRAKE SAYS HE WILL QUIT THE TTTBF. New York, September 4. A sensation was created today by the announcement that John A. Drake would retire from racing with the close of the present meeting. Mr. Drake confirmed the report and said that he would sell out as rapidly as possible, adding that the unfair odds laid by the bookmakers against his horses had practically forced him out of business.
