JOHN B0DEN TO BE ASCOTS SECRETARY. New York, September 14. John Boden has been offered and will accept the secretaryship of the Los Angeles Jockey Club. Mr. Boden is secretary of the New York State Racing Commission, manager of the Kenilworth Park and Montreal Jockey Clnbs and August Belmonts right hand man in metropolitan racing. He will take up his duties at the coming meeting, which opens at Ascot Park Thanksgiving Day. Whether or not Ed Jasper, the former racing secretary, will return to the Los Angelea track next winter in any capacity is not stated.
