A few days ago tlie poolroom Interests in New York rented property outside the course at Graves- end with the intention of erecting thereon a tower; from which the raciug, which begins next Monday, could be observed. An appropriation of 5,000 lias been made from the funds of the racing interests to combat tills move by buying the property and compelling the lessees to take down the tower.
