POOLROOM REOPENS IN COVINGTON. The old Simonton poolroom on Second street In Covington, Ky., has been reopened and is backed by the same Interests which for i several years en joyed practically an uninterrupted run at the Turf Exchange, White House and other places In Covington. The reopening followed a decision given by Judge Barker in the Kentucky Court of Appeals Tuesday last. Some time ago Judge ShawJ in the Kenton County Circuit Court, ruled that poolrooms could . not be conducted in Covington and enjoined the Simonton poolroom from continuing business. Judge Barker, of the Kentucky Court of Appeals, dissolved the Injunction, maintaining that a court of equity is without jurisdiction to enjoin the commission of a crime. The poolrooms may now run unmolested until the matter Is again taken up by the Court of Appeals, unless it is closed by the sheriff or the police, which, it is said, s not probable. A fine of 5 and costs daily will probably be ascssed in the police court.
