LAST SUNDAY V I drew your attention to Wednesday, .Sept. 1", and advfsed my friends through these columns con-cemiug a horse whose real form was 30 lbs. better than shown. On the turf course he Is thoroughly at home, and this horse would win the sixth race positively on Wednesday, Sept. 12. unless an accident, an earthquake or a snow storm prevented racing said day. Winner Ch. g, by Linden Crotchet trained by J. Lowe. Went to post at 5:00. At post 2 minutes. Start fair. Won easily; second driving; third the same. Leonard Joe Hayman decisively outbroke, outpaced and outstayed his opponents, winning all the way under a pull for the first six furlongs and under pressure to stand off Orly, but drew out fast at, the end. Orly, luckily placed from the start, almost, was in close, but unavailing, pursuit of the winner throughout and put up a superior effort. Luckett maintained a good position within striking distance of the leaders, but could never get up and was a lucky third. Tartan, away poorly and carried very wide on the first turn, closed a big gap into a fast going fourth under a poor ride. Janeta steadily improved her position from a poor start after losing ground on the first turn. Flavigny ran well for six furlongs and tired as if short. The same applies to Consuelo. Mabel Richardson ran a bad race. Scratched G43053Sonoma Belle, 107; G457C Contend, 103; G459G Prudential Girl, 104; Young Davis, 9S. Overweights Janeta, 2 pounds; Lllita, 1.
