STAKES OF THE WEEK AT GRAVESEND. In the course of racing at Gravescnd this week nine stakes remain to be decided and after next Saturday there will be no more racing at the old fashioned track until Brooklyn Handicap day, next spring. For tomorrow the Speculation Stakes Is the main feature. It Is a selling dash of a mile and a sixteenth and the probable starters appear in the entries published today. The Occidental Handicap will be run Tuesday. It Is at a mile and an eighth, for all ages and Santa Catalina,. Glorifier, Dishabille, Accountant, Peter Sterling, Outcome, Eugenia Burch, Miss Crawford, Clovercrest, James Reddick, Gtnette, Rapid Water, Logistllla, Dandelion, Salvidere, Proper, Bedouin, Entree. Flip Flap, Hot Toddy, Sir Huon, Kings Daughter, Oxford, Cottontown, Running Water, Content, Inquisitor, Dr. Gardner, Nealon, Ostrich, Go Between, Good Luck, Fine Cloth, Brookdale Nymph, Ironsides, Dolly Spanker aud Gallavant are among the good horses nominated. It is really a remarkable array or excellent handicap stars and the Occidental of 11H6 should bring about a great race. The Holly Handicap, for two-year-olds, and the Hindoo Stakes, for three-year-olds, are to be de cided Wednesday afternoon. The Holly is over the about six furlongs course with Salvidere, De Mund, Mentha, Superman, Don Enrique, Okenite, Ethon, Fountalnblue, W. H. Daniel, Clara Huron, Kentucky Beau, Tourenne, Golf Ball, Arclte, Dash-away, Frank Gill, McCarter, J. C. Core, Sewell, Bat Masterson, Penarrls, Frank Lord, Eddie Ware, Dinna Ken and Red River the pick of the eligibles. The Hindoo is a dash of about a mile and three-quarters with ,000 added. It has non-winning allowances, but no penalties. Accountant, Vendor, Bohemian, Samson, Mohawk II., Jacobite, Pegasus, Ironsides and McKittredge appear to be about all that may be sent to the post and this valuable race seems eaBy for Accountant unless- Jacobite, with a twenty pound allowance In his favor, should prove able to stay the route in good style. There is no question of his speed. He is as fast, if not faster than Accountant, and It may turn out that he- can stay as well. If he can he will be hard to beat. The Albemarle Handicap, a dash of a mile and n sixteenth, for mares of all ages, is set down for Thursday. Santa Catalina, Bohemia, Tiptoe, Dishabille, Outcome, Single Shot, Eugenia Burch, Miss Crawford, Lady Navarre, Whimsical, Ginette, Logistllla, Belgravla, Suffrage, Coy Maid, Flip Flap, Kings Daughter, Running Water, Content, Kia-mesha, Belle of Pequest, Zienap, Moonshine,-Druid and Brookdale Nymph are all in this. Races for mares exclusively are not of great interest as a rule, but the Albemarle should prove an exception with such a great array of good ones In condition to race to their best form. The Sea Breeze Stakes, a selling affair at a mile and a sixteenth, for three-year-olds, will be run Friday. Simple Honours, Wes. Cary, Albert F., James Reddick, Arklirta, Leonard Joe Hayman, Security, Pater, Confederate, Hot Toddy, Macy Jr., Samson, Bulls Eye, Jack Dolan, Belle of Pequest, Heaslip, Nealon, Rye, Nemesis, Good Luck, Jacobite, Old Faithful and Gallavant should suffice to send a rattling good field to the post- Saturday, the: closing day: of, -the.-meeting, -wlll bring about the decision of the Kings Highway Steeplechase, Prospect Handicap, for two-year-olds, and Oriental Handicap, for all ages. The Kings Highway calls for a course of about two miles and a half and John M. P., Mackey Dwyer, .Phantom, Phil May, Jimmy Lane, Pirate, Goldfleur, Grandpa, Hylas, Paul Jones, Alfar, Kernel, Coligny, Balzac, Caller and Delcanta are among the eligibles. The Prospect Handicap is over the about sis furlongs course and Salvidere, .Sewell, De Mund, Mentha, Superman, Clare Russell, J. C. Core, Pcnarris Hthon. Fountalnblue, Lorlng, W. H. Daniel, The Wrestler, Kentucky Beau, Okenite, Red River, Bat Masterson, Tourenne, Arcite and Temacco are among the youngsters that may measure, strides here. The Oriental Is at a mile and a quarter with a fine entry list of which Dandelion, Go Between, Salvidere, Cottontown, Nealon, Outcome, dinette, Flip Flap, Running Water, Content,. Brookdale Nymph, Ostrich, Sir Huon, Entree, Bedouin, Accountant, Eugenia Burch, Logistllla and Fine Cloth appear the most prominent.
