BAD TRACK, BUT GOOD RACING, AT DALLAS. Dallas, Texas, October 10. It was gray and dark today and the track had become stiff and holding. Despite the unfavorable conditions, a good crowd turned out to see six well balanced races. Dr. Flowers won his maiden race at the meeting witli Pacheta, a half brother to George Vivian. It was also the horses maiden run. Georgo Baldwins promising colt, Montalhan, at the favorites prce, took the second race In a busy finish with Doric and Buster Jones. The latter showed all the speed of Ids famous dam, Pearl Barnes, but failed to stay. Fred Woods filly, Sand Storm, the first foal of the famous May Beach, signalized her three-year-old debut by taking the third race handsomely. San Prliuo went down to defeat In the lif th, Durbar winning easily. Mart Gentry cantered home in the sixth.
