ALL GRASS; NO DIRT. New York, October .16. The only exclusively grass race course In the United States Is to be constructed at Locust Valley, L. I., by a syndicate of wealthy devotees of steeplechasingjieadcd by Thomas Hitchcock, Jr., Harry S. Page and Paul D. Cravath. The course will be laid out on land on the further side of the Central Boulevard that extends from Brook-Vllle to the clubhouse on the horse-show field. There will be a one mile steeplechase course and a one mile flat course, the chasers having water and brush jumps and the stillest kind of a Liverpool to take on their route.
