Cincinnati, O., October 31. Minnie -Adams -and Martius, considered the two best betting, propositions at Latonia today, were defeated. Both were beaten on their merits. Aubucliop, . however used Mlnnio Adams excessively in the early stages of the race and when she was .challenged in the stretch by Tarr tan the filly was so badly spent that she could not withstand the challenge. Her defeat, although little had been wagered at the short odds, was the chief surprise of the days racing.
