Sorrel Top, showing improving form and away in a forward position, was a .sharp contender from the etart and, finishing gamely under a hard drive, got up in the final stride. Belltoone showed the most epeed almost tliroughout and stayed better than usualkln the. final drive. Intense had a rough trip and finished with a rush when clear. Posing had no mishaps and tired badly after going a half. French Nun showed speed, but failed to stay. Raana ran fairly well. Fair Calypso can do better. Taria-ger ran as if she outclassed the others, :iok a winning lead at once and. Increasing - her advantage with every stride, won pulled to a canter. King Leopold ran well and had slight opposition for second place after going a half and finished gamely. All Ablaze gained steadily through the stretch and finished fast Charley Ward can -do much better and was given a listless ride. The Golden Bird began-slowly and closed a big gap. Minnie Adams was poorly handled, showed her usual high order of speed and seemed a certain winner in the last furlong, but tired unexpectedly from the early use she was put to and was unlucky to lose. Gold-mate showed improved form under good handling and finished going fast and gamely.
