THE TRACK WAS SLOW. A controversy between a bettor and. a bookmaker took, place over a conditional liet made on -a horso in the last race at Latonia last Saturday. Dally Racing Forms correspondent in his chart said the track was "good," but omitted making a distinction in the condition of the track when the sixth " race was run, as compared with its condition when the .preceding races were run. If being purely a matter of fact which could be best determined by a person of authority at the track on the day in question. Judge- Charles F. Price was telegraphed to, concerning the matter and here is his reply: Cincinnati, O., October 31. The track was slow during the running of the sixth race atTlditonla on Saturday. A light "rain had fallen for" about an hohr preceding the race. Charles F Price, Presiding "Judge. Judge Prices decision should be satisfactory and conclusive to all concerned.
