AQUEDUCTS NEW" FIELD STAND; Xew York,. October 31. Workmen have been busy at the Aqueduct track all sunjnier building a new field stand; and betting ring.. The stand, which is :S50 feet by SS feet. The stand constructed with a steel frame and the front postsr are spaced fifty feet apart and have four row.s .of seats in front of r the columns. At the rear of the stand there is a senil-cireular betting. Under the field stand there- arc nfne lunch counters, aggregating 200 feet long: From the rear promenade a staieway; bridge and- promenade have lieen. extended over the automobile, tfoad from the Rockaway plank road- to the : tailroad track adjoining the main entrance to the racetracK. A Mew entrance pavilion 100 feet by 30 feet, has iKseii built, with commodious ticket offices. The stand Will seat 4,500, but on holidays and when crowded can accommodate a much larger- number. This field stand is enclosed on all sides excepting the front, because the Aqueduct, track is especially designed for cold weather racing, and while the work is not yet finished, the architects and contractors promise that everything willi Imj ready for the openiug next Saturday.
