A NEW CHINESE INVASION. ROSWELL PILOTED BY A MONGOLIAN JOCKEY IN THE FIRST RACE AT AQUEDUCT. Stray a Surprise in the Oakdale Handicap Hand-zarras Form Reversal A. Musko-day at Long Odds. New York, November 14. The first Chinaman who over rode in a race in the United States as far as known, had the mount on James Laughlins Hoswell In the first race at Aqueduct today. He had the mount on Mintia in the third race and when entering the stretch he sharply cut over to the right and helped to shut out Varietes, then continued to bear out all the way home and the two fiuished under the shadow of the judges stand, Militia a head in front of Varietes. Foul was clainie but not allowed. Mintia is now owned by Koy Offutt, known as one Of the" biggest bookmakers in tho ring. In the Oakdale Handicap Frank Gill was stiff and sore, as if full of rheumatism, and for the first three furlongs "could not keep pace with the others. Stray, now owned by Matt Byrnes, led all the way. Zambesi fought hard to get up, but could not. Stray was formerly owned by J. W. Hcnning, who recently failed in Wall Street. The longest race of the meeting was won by A. Muskoday. John F. Ahcarn was nearly knocked down at the start, which took place directly in front of the center of the betting ring. The fifth race, won by Handzarra, was a great form reversal, she winning away off while the favorite. Dreamer, was wretchedly ridden by Miller, who let him get Into more pockets than any one thought possible to exist. Handzarra had no opposition apparently.
