DRAKE HORSES MAY RACE AGAIN. Mr. Drake recently denied the report that he intended to join hands in a new racing stable with John W. Gates, which will be trained by C. E. Durnell. But Mr. Drakes friends say that the temptation will prove too much for him. He likes to bet his money on his own judgment and though a big loser at times he has never been known to complain. The only fault he has ever found has been with the stingy bookmakers who have consistently refused to lay liberal prices against the Drake horses a fact that is conclusive evidence tltat the Chicago man has tried to win at all times. If Mr. Drake decides to come back to racing next year it is probable that lie will do so independently. Durnell will train for Mr. Gates and it is possible that he will also handle the horses of Mr. Drake. But whether he does or not Mr. Drake will always have a warm spot in his heart for Wishard, who, according to the owner of Ort "Welis, never broke his word, always did his best and ranks with the best handlers of racehorses In the world.
