After the extensive publication of a story to the effect that Ella ONeill had been permanently injured in her race for the Vernal Stakes and that she would be retired to the stud, the appearance of her name among the entries for the Distaff Stakes, to be inn at Brighton Beach to-morrow, caused much comment among the racegoers and sent the newspaper men on a hunt foe an explanation. Fred Burlew said at first lie thought the injury would ruin her, but she had come out of it all riyht and would start tomorrow. If she was as badly cut as reported she has certainly had a miraculous recovery.
