JAMES HOGG IS ENERGETIC. Buffalo, N. Y., July 13. James Hogg, who is riding here for the Haymans, is an energetic sort of a lad with a great eye for business. Ho is ever on the alert for outside mounts and makes a round of the stables after the races every day, seeking engagements for the next day. Roger Minton, trainer for the Haymans, who has charge of Hogg, thinks that the boy will develop into a first-class rider before next year. Ho will take him to California with him, the Haymans having decided to race a string at Los Angeles next winter.
