TORONTO STAKES TO CLOSE. Quite an important offering of stakes is that now made by . the Ontario Jockey Club for its fall meeting ot 1007. Entries close at midnight of Saturday, August 10 and the meeting begins September 14, and terminates September 21. Under present eruditions these stakes will appeal particularly to western owners. They are the following: FOR TIIREE-YEAR-OLDS AND OVER. Ontario Jockey Club Cup Handicap, ,000 added; 2 1-4 miles. Toronto Autumn Cup Handicap, ,500 added; 1 1-1 miles. Durham Cup, ,500 added; 1 3-4 miles. Dufferin Plate, selling, ,000 added; 1 1-S miles. FOR ALL AGES. Epsom Handicp, ,000 added; 3-4 mile. FOR TWO-YEAR-OLDS. Grey Stakes, ,500 added; 1 mile. Michaelmas Handicap, ,000 added; 3-4 mile. STEEPLECHASE. Woodbine Autumn Handicap, ,000 added; 2 1-2 miles. Being all on the added money system, -these events should run into total values to the winners of generous amounts, dependent of course, on the number of entries.
