Rod-crick, well ridden, was restrained to the last obstacle, where he ran. into a long lead and won with plenty In reserve. Dr. Heard, badly ridden and kept too far back for almost the entire course, moved up gamely through the stretch, but too late. Gipsano ran fairly well, but blundered over several obstacles. Croxton quit after showing speed for one turn of the course. Battle Creek Is an erratic fencer. Judge Nolan ran well until lie tired and fell. Old Honesty began sluggishly, but moved up steadily through the stretch and finished gamely. Frontenac, away poorly, closed a big gap and took third place In the last strides. Charlie Eastman, also away badly, moved into a contending position in the first half, but tired badly In the last quarter. Doubt, poorly ridden and suffering from much interference, finished gamely and fast and was probably best today. June Time developed sudden speed ain ran In much improved form over her last previous performance. Willis Green was on the extreme outside all the way and Lloyds effort at driving hard was feeble. Jupiter tired after going three quarters. Winchester and Moouvine quit badly after a brief display of speed. The winner was entered for 300: no bid. Scratched 703013Gold Spray, 95. ONeill was close up from the start and tired slightly near the end. Princlpia, after trailing far back for a half, closed a big gap and finished with a rush. Catherine V. also showed suddenly improved form, ran well and finished gamely. Kitty Smith, aided by good racing luck in the early stages, showed much speed, but tired near the end. Tom Shaw suffered from interference through the stretch. So did Orlandot. Both can do much better. Bewitched showed a brief flash of speed and tired as if short. Oleasa was raced into exhaustion in an effort to keep pace witli the leaders in the early stages. Spendthrift Helen ran a good race, coming from far back in the last quarter. La Sorciere suffered from interference. The winner was entered for ,100; no bid. Overweights Frank Collins, 2 pounds; Dutch Pete, 1.
