Not including the meetings now on at Brighton Bench, Fort Erie and Seattle, 4,900 races have been run at the recognized tracks in the United States and Canada tlds year. First choices have won 1.51S, second choices SI. J and outsiders 2,509. Tims only 31 per cent, of the first choices, about thirteen points below the normal percentage, have won. The average price for these winning first choices, closing odds only figured, was twenty-seven to twenty and for the winning second choices thirty-one to ten.
