ORBY MAY NOT START IN ST. LEGER. There is grave doubt in England and Ireland if Crokers Derby winner, Orby, will start in the St. Lcger. which is to be ruu at Doncastcr September 11. Since he collapsed in the running of the Atlantic Stakes at Liverpool, July 21, when lie was last in a field of four starters, rumors have been flying concerning his condition. cAt the time he was started his stable had no intimation that there was anything amiss with him, 1mt there is little doubt now that he was ailing when he ran in that race. It has been authoritatively HiinouuceU that since his return to Glcncairn there has been evidences of a return, of the kidney affection from which lie suffered last year. It Is just possible that he will be brought to the post for the St. Leger, but the time is short. He is being rested up temporarily, and unless he yields readily to treatment he will have to forego his September engagement.
