OUTSIDERS WIN FIVE AT FORT ERIE. Ketchemike the Only Successful Choice Poor Lot of Horses. Buffalo, X. Y., August 7. Ketchemike, winner of the second race, was the only successful favorite at Fort Erie this afternoon. Some of the winners sprung from most unexpected quarters. Lord Dixon the favorite for the sixth race, had. beaten better horses in Ids last two races than finished in front of him today. Aquiline, rated by many as tins best two-year-old lilly here, now that Grande Dame has gone, made a sorry exhibition in the fifth race, in which she was out footed all the way. Tosing, a stable .companion of Tolly Trim and Charlie Thompson, appeared to outclass her opposition in the third race, but for some reason there was slight support for her. Tosing began slowly and trailed along on the outside until well around the far turn. Entering the homestretch Shilling brought her very wide. She then closed tip a big gap gamely but was unable to get up in time to overhaul Iteatrice K.. which won by a neck. Maurice Welsh yesterday sold Running Account to W. Walker for ,500 and Pedigree to It. 15. Stellie for 00. . W. Jennings, Jr., left for his home near Haiti-mere yesterday with his three-year-old Cave Adsuin. He will rest the colt up until the fall meeting at r.altiniore. James Grillin has wired his trainer to ship the remainder of his stable from Latonia. Joseph James and the division of W.
