DEATH OF WILLIAM MULKEY. William Mulkey. one of the oldest inhabitants of Kansas City, is dead. He was a breeder of thoroughbreds, and with Henry Avis as trainer sent many noted horses of his own breeding to the races. Perhaps the best of a long list was the brown horse Verge dOr. which won great fame over . Chicago and St. Louis tracks and was a high class performer at all distances. Tins most recent representative of his-stud is the fast plater Ed Hall, a son of Verge dOr.
