DURNELL BROKE; WILL SELL HORSES. Going to France to Join John W. Gates Loses 0,000 for His Patron. Saratoga. X. Y., August 7. C. E. Durnell announced today that lie will sell all of his horses by auction here August hi and will join John W. Gates in France as soon as lie can close up his nflairs. It is said that Durnell is broke again. When he departed for Europe. John W. Sates left 0,000 with A. B. Hudson with instructions to bet it as Durnell might advise. Half of it was lost when Tony Bonoro beat Von Trout July 30, and the last half of it went to the bookmakers yesterday .when E. Dugan failed to land Loudoun Light in the money in the closing race. It. T. Wilson, Jr., has obtained secoiid call on E. Dugan.
