Far AVest is in brilliant form, ran nearly lapped on the pacemaker until straightened for home and then brushed by him as if he was anchored, winning .with plenty to spare. Cablegram ran forwardly from ihe start, improved his position rapidly on the last turn and finished a fast going second. Dr. Gardner forged quickly into the lead and made the running well in hand to the stretch, where be suddenly and u-iex peetcdly tired as it" short. Prince Ahmed broke slowly and was outpaced in the early running, then finished well, but was never dangerous. True Boy, shulHc.d back early, was gaining steadily in the last lialf and is worth remembering. Mark Antony II. showed suierior early speed and held on well, though tiring in the last quarter. Sheriff Williams was reserved under a pull in close pursuit of Goldlleur for a mile and a half, quickly ranged along side when called upon and as quickly dtew away and won cantering. Goldlleur made the running mi sufferance to the half, where he gave way apd finally tired as if short, but is in grand form. Judge White, well mi when lie fell at the end of a mile and a half, was remounted, finished and ran a good rate. Cardigan ran prominently until he fell. The winner was entered for ,400: no bid. Blandy, getting away poorly, was a leisurely second after going the first quarter and is extra good. Kilter trailed lot half the journey, then closed up well in the last quarter and was a game third. Arimo, shut olf at the half and badly ridden, was never dangerous, afterwards. King Cole showed his usual early speed and quit badly on the last turn. . The winner was entered for ,500; no bid. AVon driving; second and third the kuiii-. Julia Powel, from n good start, ran in nearest pursuit of the pacemaker to the stretch, where she more than held her own in the closing drive. Half Sovereign figured prominently throughout and finished a fust going seond on the inside. Adriana ran in forward contention from the start, but went wide on the turn and failed to get up in a high-class effort. Desirous, from a Hying start, made the running by a good margin to the last furlong, where she tired after an extra good nice. Bouquet, away very badly, closed an immense gap, finished like a cyclone and is a grand lilly. Stamina was gradually forced out of an inside position and dropped back suddenly at the half, losing a half dozen lengths and had no chain afterwards with her diminutive rider. Grande Dame, away very badly, closed an immense gap. Polly Avatts held her own remarkably well and probably is a good one. Keep Moving failed to stay. Red Bcnnet got away badly and was not urged. Acrobat set the pace from the start and finished i surprisingly game second. Ampedo moved up rapidly in the last half and challenged the leader, but could never quite head him and was a fast going third. Cork 11111 essayed to force the pace and ran JappVd on the leader for nearly five furlongs before he succumbed, finished gamely and probably was short. Rille-man loomed up at the half, but failed to stay. Scallop, away badly, steadily improved his position under a leisurely ride. Moquette finished well. Sweet-taire failed to stay. AViid Star got away poorly and had -scant chance.
