Antaeus Js a speedy colt, ran in close attendance on the leaders to the stretch and, moving up with Mee-lick in the last furlong, finally won with something to spare. Meelick is of high class, was always prominent in the running and easily outstayed King Cobalt in the drive for second place. The latter showed superior early speed, but tired in the final drive. Pomander ran in improving form, is not ready and will bo heard from before long. Fultonvllle ran well to the stretch and tired as If short. Oliert "and Black Oak ran poorly. Paprika waited on the leaders for a mile and a half, then passed by them and, drawing out into a safe lead, wtiii under mild restraint. Judge White is an improving jumper, got into forward contention early, fenced well and easily disposed of Lights Out for second place. The latter fenced well also and liuished gamely. Kerry, showing a return to his spring form, dashed into the lead in the lirst sixteenth and held sway to the end, but finished doing his best. Thomas Calhoun, lucky at the start, was always in nearest pursuit of the winner and, in a game effort, finished wearing him down. Sussex closed an early gap into third place and, running a good race, stayed there to the finish. Sanguine was off well enough, but ran a disappointing race and seemed to sulk. Hal came from far back in the stretch. Tee Tick also finished well. 1-ong Ball got off so poorly as to have no chance, but made up much ground. St. Ilario showed speed, but failed to stay. Kennyetto Torged into the lead in the lirst furlong and set the pace fast to the enil, outstaying Teniaceo in a game finish and is a superior class filly. Tomaceo, from a good start, was reserved in close attendance on the leaders for seven furlongs, then made a play for the leader and liuished fast, but could not get up. Dashaway trailed for nearly a mile, but came through the stretch with a game rush and outstayed Tourenne for third place. The latter pursued Kennyetto closely to the stretcli and held on resolutely, but was tiring at the end. Rio Grande ran well for a mile. Campaigner was outclassed. Scratched 70152 Bright Boy. S7. Mark Antony II. was a prominent and speedy contender from the start, but tired In the final struggle. First Mason ran well and may be regaining form. Phil Finch finished gamely.
