NOTES OF THE TURF. Reports as to the health of Harry Kuhl, who is now at the home of his mother in Pueblo, Col., are not encouraging. Edward Corrigan returned from New York Wednesday anil left last night for a visit to ills farm at Lexington, Ky. The Pacific Electric Railway has agreed to furnish special service from Los Angeles to Arcadia during the winter meeting. The Norfolk meeting is badly off for horses. The attendance has been about 500 persons daily. It will take a miracle to make it other than a losing venture. There will be twelve days racing at Spokane, September 23 to October 5, and it is expected that nlHiut 200 horses now at Seattle will be raced there. Eight stakes have been closed.
