ANSWERS TO QUERIES. Communications without names and addresses of senders will not be answered or noticed. 0. W. F., Chicago. The parlay lost. J. L. C, Chicago. The bet on Golden Shore lost. O. M. L., Chicago. The place bet on Killuloc at reduced odds won unless you had been notified that added starters run for the book. Clias. II., Chicago. Combinations are play or pay, unless agreed to tin? contrary, and lose when a horse named is scratched. On its face the bet named is a combination and a loser, but some understanding bud at the time may have made it a parlay. Even in this case the bookmaker, having laid a price, would be entitled to have all the horses run for his money and as it turned out to pay only the price of the unscratched horse that won.
