VANDERBI LTS HANOVERS PROSPER. At tlie recent l.-ig meeting at Baden-Baden, one of the best two-year-olds shown was Conte Bleu, by Ilalma. Halma is by Hanover, out of Julia. L.. by Longfellow. Halma is now the projerty of the Bureau of Breeding of tlie Jockey Club. Ellsmere, another son of Hanover, out of Ella. Pjnkerton, by Longfellow, bred by Milton Young, is tlie sire of good winners in France. Berkshire, 2, by Ellsmere Gibeline, won the Prix dHallate, at Chantilly, on September 4. and Cornstalk, 2, by Ellsmere Constauzia. won the Prix, de Verrleres, at Maisons-Laffitte Course on September 10. Ellsmere is in W. K. Vanderbilts stud.
