HOW LEXINGTON PROFITS BY RACING. Lexington. October 1. From a monetary standpoint the Kentucky Association race track is one of Lexingtons most valuable assets, as it brings into this city annually for distribution as much as 75,000 to 00,000. This large sum of money is brought into "the city through the track in many ways, namely through race meetings, the wintering and training of thoroughbreds and the sale of horses in training at the track. These facts have been brought out by persons interested in maintaining race meetings here in the fall, and the success of the fall meeting held here last month Insures a speedy payment on the debt owed to the Krown estate by the association. AVhat action will be taken by the Board of. Directors at their next meeting toward the revival of stakes for two-year-old and aged horses is only a matter of conjecture, but it is safe to predict that the association will not be liberal with stakes until the 5,000 debt has been paid off.
