NOTTER HAS- SIGNED WITH ELLISON. New York, October 2. Jockey Notter, whose arm will put him out of action for some time, had a contract with J. L. McGinnis that runs to" November. He has just signed a contract to ride for Charles It. Ellison at the winter tracks until April 1, of next year. Ellison lias a serviceable string for winter racing and Notter would undoubtedly have been one of the star riders of the New Orleans meeting. While his injuries may not be serious enough to abrogate the contract, it is hardly likely that he will be able to take it up until the New Orleans meeting is well advanced.
