WAITING FOR NEW YORK VERDICT. New York. October 2. James Butler, James Russell Soley and Matt Winn, who control the Empire City track, were visitors at Brighton. Mr. Butler and Mr. Eiigeman, who are old friends, had a chat in the clubhouse between races. It is understood that the Court of Appeals will take up the Empire City license case shortly. Butler is to sell all his trotters at the fall Fasig-Tipton sale.
