Pinkola, at home in the going, ran as if he outclassed the others, followed Sainesaw close up to the stretch turn, where he took the lead and won going away. Sainesaw, from a fast beginning, hung on gamely and ran a good race. Polar Star gained steadily and finished with a rush. Tim Kelly was a -harp factor for the first half and tired as if short. Listerino was shuffled back soon after the start and closed a big gap in the last quarter. Linda Lake, a slow beginner, gained steadily and favors a longer distance. Blue Lee can do much better. Refined, favored by her light weight and the going, had to overcome early interference, but saved much ground by staying close to the inner rail and, responding gamely to urging in the stretch, wore down Charlatan in the last furlong and won drawing clear. Charlatan wore down Communlpaw after going a half and tired in the last furlong as if short. Tinker came from a long way back in the stretch and ran a winning race. Katie Powers closed a big gap in the last quarter. Dainty Belle found the going too difficult and tired fast after going a half. Coiumunipaw showed superior early speed, but failed to stay. Chief Hayes followed the winner close up for the first three-quarters, but tired badly in the stretch. Aankee Girl was given an easy ride and can do much better. Sea Salt, hard ridden all the "way, was not good enough to beat the winner, but finished gamely and came near to scoring a lucky win. Thistle Do ran a good three-quarters before tiring and will improve. Matabon quit in the last half. Little Elkin began with his customary slowness aud finished going fast.
