Nancy closed a gap and ran into the lead on the turn and, in a game finish, outstayed Killochan for second place. Killo-chan was always prominent and finished resolutely. Graziallo loomed up on the stretch turn, but tired in lie final drive. Comilfo showed the most early speed, but quit badly. St. Joseph also quit after running wrll to the stretch. The winner was entered for 700; no bid. Tellfare was racing in front when he fell. He was remounted and, in a driving finish, outgamed Flying Machine for third place. The latter jumped badly throughout and almost unseated ltis rider on the last turn of the field. John T. Morgan pecked and unseated his rider in the second turn of the course.
