BROOKLYN AND SUBURBAN ENTRIES. 1 All the Stars of Last Year Nominated — I Agreement on Dates Reported. New York. January 3. — Entries to the big handicaps, so far received are light compared with last year. Ip to this time in lf»07 there were fifty-seven entries to bath the Brooklyn and Brighton. This year thirty-six ami forty respectively have been received. In MM only thirty-six had lieen received. The high class and unusual quality of the eligible* is undoubtedly the reason for the lighter list. The older division is better this year, or should be. counting on the good three-year-olds of 1907. The three-year-old division this year must be of high average quality, although Colin sIikmI so far above his fellows. It looks like a line list with little or no chaff in it. Peter Pan is a notable absentee, showing that he is uudouht eilly through and will stay iu the stud. There is a chance for quite a few more entries to each of die handicaps in tie next four or five days. To be heard from are August Belmont always late and who is now at Garnett. S. C, S. C Hildreth. F. Burlew. B. Schreitier, C. R. Ellison. W. B. Jennings. Sam Emery. Tom Williams. William Gerst and others. J. B. Haggin makes the record nomination to the Futurity and Brighton Produce for 1910 of 300. and sent his check for $.5,000 to his agent, W. L. Powers, covering these nominations. There are now S40 nominations to the Futurity of 1910. Representatives of the several racing associations met at the Windsor Arcade today and discussed dales.
