Here-■ftcc showed his usual high rate of speed, set the pace throughout and always held his opponents safe, lialton was always in nearest pursuit, swerved badly under the whip when a sixteenth out, but rallied in the closing strides and finished gamely. Progress closed a gap and. in a long stretch drive, finished fast. Scarfell made up much ground and finished with a rush. Creston Boy ran well to the stretch and tired in the final drive. Nuns Veiling and Rustling Silk finished fast and close up. Nonie Lucille showed speed, but quit. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
