Alice broke slowly, but had clear sailing and, finishing fast, although going wide, wore the leaders down and won drawing clear. Cunning. poo-!y ridden and away on the extreme outside, ran a good race and «a- unlucky to lose. Mrs. Sewail had no mishaps and showed the most early speed, but tired in the iesing strides. Ariouette, prominent BMW! of the way and forcing the early pace, quit in the last six teeiith. Holy Mass was in the worst going all the way. Stella Perkins was an easy second when a sixteenth out. but her rider became careless. threw second place away and would h.-ve been beaten out in another stride for third place. Etta M. m Coining fast at the end and would have been third iu another stride. Constantia ran in the worst goinr ttiFMgk the stretch and tired badly after showing the most speed for three furlongs.
